TRAILs School is about to start!
From 22 to 26 February 2021, TRAILs will run its LSP Teacher Training School online. This School had been initially planned as a Summer School to be held at the University of Zagreb (Croatia) last September, but COVID19 forced us to rearrange it in terms of dates and delivery mode. And we are thrilled and ready!
The School will be opened by the organizers (University of Zagreb) and the project coordinator (University of Bordeaux) next Monday 22. Thirty-three participants from Croatia, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Slovenia, Spain, and the United Kingdom have been selected for participation in the School. Along this week, this group of LSP teachers and students will be acquiring knowledge, skills and competences on the following topics pertaining to the field of Languages for Specific Purposes: Needs analysis, Course and syllabus design, Disciplinary context, Teaching skills, Materials, Assessment, Task/Project/Problem-based learning, Transversal skills, Language corpora, Research, and Lesson planning. There will forenoon (9.00-12.15h) and afternoon (13.00-16.15h) sessions every day, each of this comprising a plenary session followed by a practical session (workshops). The evaluation of the School will take place on the last session (Friday afternoon).
TRAILs is an Erasmus + project which addresses the issue of teacher education and skills development to promote high quality and innovative teaching in the field of Language for Specific Purposes.
