TRAILs goes to Poland and elsewhere!

The Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznan, Poland, played host to all TRAILs partners for the latest project meeting, and posted the following on their website (translated from Polish, original here):

From 4th to 5th of October 2019, the Institute of Applied Linguistics at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poland held a meeting of the TRAILs project working group (LSP Teacher Training Summer School), international project number 2018-1-FR01-KA203-048085, financed by the European Commission under the KA2 program “Cooperation for Innovation and the Exchange of Good Practices “, Competition: KA203 – Strategic Partnerships for Higher Education. Project implemented in 2018-2020.

Representatives of partner countries (France, Italy, Slovenia, Spain, Croatia, Germany, Great Britain and Poland) debated the main assumptions of the specialist language teacher training programme, which is based on the research conducted by the team. The meeting was also attended by professor Dominika Skrzypek, vice Dean of the Faculty of Modern Languages, professor Sylwia Adamczak-Krysztofowicz of the Institute of Applied Linguistics and Joanna Domagała, Deputy Head of the International Office. The next team meeting will take place in Bergamo in February 2020.

Additionally, Brankica Bošnjak Terzić, Olinka Breka and Snježana Kereković, of the TRAILs Project’s Croatian team, gave a poster presentation entitled LSP Teacher Training Project and Summer School. This presentation was relayed at the 2nd International EAP/ESP Conference, “Options, Practices and Possibilities of EAP and ESP Practitioners”, at the University of Crete, Heraklion, which took place from 20th to 23rd September 2019. The presenters first gave the general information about the project: the focus of the project, partner institutions, target groups, the predicted outputs and the final outcome. They also presented the LSP Teacher Training Summer School that will be held at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture, University of Zagreb, Croatia in September
